We thought you was a toad….

My yard is hopping with these little critters.  I think it's a toad but it's really tiny.  The latest hatch must have just come out of the pond behind our house and they are everywhere.  Grow big and eat the bugs in my garden.

I have so many frogs and toads around my house this summer, it's crazy. I have two little ones that apparently live in my tomato plant now. lol.

I don't remember a hatch like this one in the last couple of summers. I can see these little guys jumping around from inside through my windows. I don't know if it's all the rain or what. Hope your house is staying dry. Our yard has had standing water in the middle of it for nearly a month now. Everything is so green though. The veggies are loving it.

I'm sure the possessed cows had something to do with it. Maybe they're really motivated to flee the cows. Really though, they're tiny and they've gone a long way from the water. They keep hanging out on the driveway and I keep trying to shoo them onto the lawn and into the garden. Walking on the sidewalk is like playing Frogger.

OMG, so now I'm questioning whether the cows could get up to the third floor. Like, I will open my balcony door one night and there will be a velociraptor cow right there.

Hehehe, your little toads sound so cute :D Oh man, are they going to make a toad choir in your backyard when they grow up? (Grow up, little toads, and eat the bugs!)

iiiiiieeeeee! Cows on the balcony. That sounds like the plot of some horror movie right there. Or some crazy muppet skit where they ran out of sugar and came to borrow some.

The toad choir is really loud in the spring when they all decide winter's been too long and go looking for a hot date. It's more like a rock concert with a hopping mosh pit. I can't remember if it was extra loud this year but it seemed to go on for quite a few days….probably resulting in the current toadlet boom.
