What on earth?

"The world is changed. I feel it in the water." Yeah Galadriel, I hear you. There are pigs flying everywhere, the devil has given Hell the day off to go skating, and LJ added that hearty thing. It must be that thing that happened in Chicago. No, not the dead showing up at the polls. That's next week.

The Cubs won the World Series. For the first time in 108 years. They came back from being down 3 to 1 games in the series which in itself is remarkable. How about all that, zubeneschamali? Pretty amazing. Congrats to the Cubs and to the Indians who came so close, there's always next year. With the end of the baseball season, winter is upon us and the long dark until pitchers and catchers report for spring training next year. See you after hibernation and hockey season.

What On Earth?

Wow! What a crazy baseball season this is turning out to be! It looks like the Cubs are working to get back to the winning ways. We’re still in 1st place, even if Arietta is injured, and we may have days where we find ourselves in a bit of a losing slump.
What a good game it was last night! Though me and my bestie didn’t see all of it, we missed a good game. The last score we saw was a tie. Sometime after that, the Cubs managed to bust the scoring wide open. I’m sorry we missed such a wild match last night. I wonder if today’s game is going to end up being just as wild.
Winning is the way.
Boy, would that make my day!
I ❤ watching the Cubs play with my bestie each day. Wouldn’t that be awesome later today? I wonder what time we play, but finding that out later is how I’ll know. I am ready for another victorious day—doesn’t matter what time we play, though I think it’s tonight again—yay!

Re: What On Earth?
It's very cool to meet an enthusiastic Cubs fan. My summer has been up and down and not enough time to follow much baseball. I like this time of the year though. I looked at your journal. I like that you write in verse. I added you to my friends list. I hope that is ok.
