Inktober - Day 2

Yesterday's Inktober prompt was noisy. Firetrucks can be noisy. How hard can it be to draw a firetruck. Turns out it's a lot more complicated than I realized. I found a how-to here. Here's what the truck should look like.

And here's my crack at it. It's the first time I've drawn anything with guidelines and didn't know I was supposed to erase them so they are kind of dark. I should have used a straight-edge or ruler. Lines that don't shake are tough. I get why it helps to understand how a firetruck is put together to make the drawing process more understandable. Why does that line go there? Oh yeah, that metal supports this ladder. I think guidelines will help next time I take on something like the NASCAR car from day 1.
