And now…the weather

Particularly overjoyed by the forecast for tomorrow…much cooler.  There's always absolute zero, I suppose.  The governor called off school for the entire state for tomorrow.  If you're in the path of the cold, I wish you warmth.  Stay safe.

Seriously i am just boggling at some of the temperatures in North America right now! Being from Australia, I consider (does quick conversion) 40 F to be absolutely antarctic! I dont know how you live in weather like this! Stay warm!

Even for us, this is pretty extreme cold. International (Frostbite) Falls up north and Canada get colder actual temperatures regularly. Straight up cold, you can deal with but it's the wind that's making this bout so rough.

Oh my, you guys are really cold! Our schools were called off because of the wind chill too, but we aren't nearly as chilly. However, we have around 160 inches of snow so far this year and I am already tired of it. It is starting to feel like we are being buried alive, but I will take our snow over intense cold any day even though we may not see grass until May.
Stay warm!

My folks are up there in the Keweenaw and have been getting hammered with the snow. We drove across the UP yesterday to get back to MN from downstate. US2 was closed so we had to go up to M28 and then back down over by Germfask. Snow was coming down like crazy but at least it wasn't whiteout. Looks like the skiers and snowmobilers had a good vacation.

We're practically neighbors, I'm over in Anoka. ;)

The temps have been fucking ridiculous this winter. I'm over it.

Howdy neighbor, waves....I know it gets cold here but this is beyond anything I signed up for. My consolation lies in the Burpee seed catalog that showed up after Christmas (along with the tax forms.)

The subzero cold started so goddamn early this winter. We usually don't get below zero temps until now, but it feels like we've had WEEKS of it already. UGH.

Ugh, I'm so sorry to see these record breaking temperatures. I'm in NY, and we had -8 and that's plenty. Hang in there, at least spring is coming.

Spring seems like a lovely, nearly impossible dream. 8-)

brrrrr! Our temps are a sliver higher than yours. At least we have heat and power. Tens of thousands of folks in the area don't. And can't drive to a warm shelter because the roads are closed and impassable.

I'm so grateful for heat, I can't even put it into words. Just standing outside for a few minutes waiting for the dog was intensely cold. I really feel for anyone with a job that requires outside work today.
